1. About these terms
These terms govern the provision of validation and verification services by VeriClimate ("we", "us", "our") to project proponents and their representatives ("client", "you").
2. Scope of services
VeriClimate provides independent validation and verification services under the Global Carbon Standard, currently for Module 13 (Waste) and Module 14 (Forest and Land Use). The specific scope, deliverables, fees and timeline of an engagement are set out in a written agreement signed by both parties.
3. Independence and impartiality
We perform our work independently and impartially in accordance with the rules of the Global Carbon Standard and applicable ISO standards. We do not provide consultancy to clients whose projects we validate or verify.
4. No guarantee of outcome
Engaging VeriClimate does not guarantee a positive validation or verification opinion, nor the issuance of carbon credits. Our opinion is based on the evidence provided and our assessment against the applicable standard.
5. Confidentiality
Information shared with us during an engagement is treated as confidential, except where disclosure is required by the standard, by accreditation bodies, or by law.
6. Liability
Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees paid for the relevant engagement, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
7. Contact
