Our mission
Verification belongs where the carbon is.
Certification has long favoured large projects with the budget to handle complex processes. Smaller projects are often left out, even when their impact is real.
VeriClimate exists to change that. We provide validation and verification for smallholder forests, regenerative farms and community led restoration projects.
Approved under
Global Carbon Standard
VeriClimate is an approved Validation and Verification Body under the Global Carbon Standard, certified for two methodologies.
Waste Handling and Disposal
Validation and verification of waste sector projects, including methane avoidance, organic recovery, and circular waste management.
Afforestation and Reforestation
Validation and verification of afforestation, reforestation and agroforestry projects, with a focus on smallholder and community led work.

Founder
Pierre Minh Quang Trinh
VeriClimate was founded in 2023 by Pierre Minh Quang Trinh. Pierre has spent years working on disruptive CO2 and reforestation projects across the Amazon and Atlantic regions.
His work spans methodology development, on the ground monitoring, and direct partnerships with smallholder communities. That experience informs every decision we make as a verification body.
Pierre leads VeriClimate together with a team of auditors, ecologists, and methodology experts. The combined experience keeps each carbon project audit accurate, independent, and held to the highest standard.
Independent auditor
Our first independent GCC auditor.
VeriClimate is proud to work with Dr. Tanzeem Fatima, our first independent auditor accredited to conduct validation and verification activities under the Global Carbon Standard.

Lead auditor
Dr. Tanzeem Fatima
PhD, Forestry. AFOLU and nature-based solutions
Dr. Tanzeem Fatima is an experienced carbon and sustainability professional, leading validation and verification activities for AFOLU and nature-based solutions projects under internationally recognised standards including VCS, Plan Vivo, GCC, Gold Standard, ART and ICR.
Her expertise covers Project Design Document (PDD) review, baseline and monitoring assessments, ex-ante and ex-post greenhouse gas emission reduction calculations, risk assessment, and compliance evaluation against applicable methodologies and certification requirements.
Certifications
Strong working knowledge of carbon accounting, MRV systems, climate mitigation projects, and broader sustainability frameworks.
Academic partnership
Field research with the Federal University of Rondônia.
VeriClimate works in partnership with the Federal University of Rondônia (UNIR), a public Brazilian university located in the Amazon. The collaboration brings academic review and local scientific capacity to the field evidence behind each verification.
Joint field research
Permanent plots, biomass and soil sampling, biodiversity surveys.
Scientific review
Independent academic review of sampling design and methodology application.
Capacity building
Technicians and graduate students trained alongside our verification teams.
Academic collaboration strengthens the field evidence base. It is kept operationally separate from the verification opinion to safeguard impartiality under ISO 14065.

Lead researcher
Prof. Antonio Lafayette
Lead Ecology, Federal University of Rondônia (UNIR)
Prof. Lafayette leads the ecological field programme behind the partnership, coordinating monitoring teams across Amazon project sites.
