Validation and Verification Body

A new VVB, built for the ground level.

Independent, affordable, field based validation and verification that returns the work to farmers, soil, and forests.

Our mission

Verification belongs where the carbon is.

For too long, certification has chased scale. The schemes favour large projects with the budget to navigate complex processes, and leave the people doing the real work behind.

VeriClimate exists to change that. We bring rigorous validation and verification to the projects that matter most: smallholder forests, regenerative farms, and community led restoration.

Approved under

Global Carbon Standard

VeriClimate is an approved Validation and Verification Body under the Global Carbon Standard, certified for two methodologies.

13Module

Waste

Validation and verification of waste sector projects, including methane avoidance, organic recovery, and circular waste management.

14Module

Forest and Land Use

Validation and verification of forestry, agroforestry and land use change projects, with a focus on smallholder and community led work.

Founder

Pierre Tringh

VeriClimate is founded by Pierre Tringh. Pierre has spent years working on disruptive CO2 and reforestation projects across the Amazon and Atlantic regions.

His work spans methodology development, on the ground monitoring, and direct partnerships with smallholder communities. That experience informs every decision we make as a verification body.

Academic partnership

Field research with the Federal University of Rondônia.

VeriClimate works in partnership with the Federal University of Rondônia (UNIR), a public Brazilian university based in the heart of the Amazon. The collaboration brings academic rigour and local scientific capacity to the field evidence behind every verification.

Joint field research

Permanent plots, biomass and soil sampling, biodiversity surveys.

Scientific review

Independent academic review of sampling design and methodology application.

Capacity building

Technicians and graduate students trained alongside our verification teams.

Academic collaboration strengthens the field evidence base. It is kept operationally separate from the verification opinion to safeguard impartiality under ISO 14065.
